Countrywide unveils new look for Ledbury store with offers and events

Countrywide’s Ledbury store is unveiling an exciting new look to offer customers an inspiring and greatly improved shopping experience.

The store’s full re-fit is designed to improve layout, merchandising of ranges and all elements of the customer shopping experience. Account customers, local business and shareholders have been invited to a VIP event at the Ledbury store on Hazle Park, Dymock Road on Thursday 4 September for a preview of the store, which will then be followed up by a 10 per cent off launch weekend on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September, when customers and the local community can take advantage of the special promotions on offer.

“Customers will see lots of exciting developments in store,” says Countrywide’s Ledbury Store Manager Andy Hughes who returns to Ledbury store following a period managing the Witney store. “For example, the coffee shop has been extended to enable 50% more covers and has been fully refurbished, thereby allowing more space for our clothing range from top brands such as Toggi and Joules. The clothing area now benefits from new rails, flooring and lighting and our changing rooms have been greatly improved. New external and internal signage has been designed, and a select and collect system will be introduced for easier access to animal feeds. The new overall layout and feel of the store is light and friendly and meets Countrywide’s aim to deliver unbeatable customer service,” he adds.

The Ledbury re-launch was kicked off in March this year with considerable development work to its garden centre which now boasts a much improved range of plants, new display areas including water features and new department signage with handy, helpful gardening tips.

Winning streak at Shows

Countrywide is quite literally showing huge success with recent wins for our trade stands at the Royal Welsh Show and the NSA Sheep Event.

At the Royal Welsh Show, which ran from 21-24 July, Countrywide won the Best Trade stand. “We are very proud of this win,” smiles Becky Barningham, Countrywide Group Marketing Manager. “A huge thank you to everyone who has helped with the event, especially Sarah Crabbe who co-ordinated the event organization,” she adds.

And following on from this, Countrywide has also been awarded 3rd place for the trade stand at the NSA Sheep Event at the Malvern Showground.

The stand promoted sheep feeds, milk powders, minerals and licks, animal health and shearing equipment, fencing and Batemans livestock equipment. Added features such as refreshments and a prize draw to win a tonne of sheep feed, a big bale cradle and £50 of store vouchers helped secure the win.

“This NSA Sheep Event is recognised as the specialist one day event with everything to hand on one site for all farmers in the sheep farming community, so it’s great news that Countrywide’s presence, specialist products and expertise on the stand were rewarded, ” explains Sarah Crabbe, Marketing Co-ordinator. “The event tackles the latest issues that affect all our sheep farmers including breeding, nutrition, management, new technologies, conservation and new techniques.”
